The Sony PSP Slim and Lite is a handheld game console that was developed and released by Sony Computer Entertainment.

The new PSP Slim model gaming console from Sony is 33% lighter and 20% slimmer than the original PSP system. The model numbers have changed to PSP-2000, following the previous region-based numbering scheme. Sony launched the PSP Slim model gaming console in Europe on September 5 and in the U.S. on September 6, 2007 and in Korea on the next day to the U.S. release. As we all know PSP has some excellent features. You can watch photos, play games (FIFA is my favorite!), watch movies or listen to you favorite music. Well if you are reading my article I guess your problem is actually to transfer the music to the PSP, no panic I will explain right now how to do it and you'll see how easy it is!

All you need to start is computer, PSP, USB cable that you got with the PSP and ton's of MP3's. Well, to work!

First thing is to collect all your favorite music in one folder. If you have good music CD's that you want also to put on a PSP you should get a CD - ripper software so you will be able to copy all the songs from the CD to your computer. This software is cheap so it will be no problem for you!

Grab the USB cable and connect your PSP to the computer - 3 years old child can do it.

Take the PSP, go to settings and put the PSP on USB mode to complete the connection to the PC.

Now when the connection is complete go to "My Computer". There is supposed to be new drive named "Removable Disk", double click on it!

There are two folders, see? Double click on the one named "PSP"!

In the PSP folder will be a couple of folders, 4-5. Enter to the "Music" folder!

Take all the MP3's that you want on your PSP and drop them to the "Music" folder.

Well disconnect safety the PSP from the computer now. That's it, now you can listen to you favorite music on your PSP!

There are many video converter programs available on the internet. Just do a search on google for "video converter MP4" and you will see hundreds of converters. My favourite video converter program is Imtoo but you could use any other video converter program to put movies on psp.

Whichever video converter program you use it must have some sort of output or converted video settings.

Change these to the following settings so that when you put movies on psp, the movies can play smoothly on your psp.

Video size: either 368x206 or 320x240 due to screen resolution of PSP

Video Bit rate : 384, 512, 768 Kbps

Frame rate : at least 29 frames per second

Audio Sample Rate : 24 Khz

Audio bit rate : 64, 96, 128 160 Kbps

Next step is to put the converted movies on your psp. For this, you will need to connect your psp to your computer with a PSP data transfer cable.

If you are using the Imtool PSP video converter, click on tools and then psp video manager. Then click on browse to select the mp4 files you want to copy and click on move to transfer it to your PSP.

STEP ONE

Check your firmware!

Make sure you have the right PSP firmware version. You are going to need version 2.0 or above for the wallpaper function to work on your PSP.

To check your PSP firmware version select the options on your PSP screen in the following order:

SETTINGS > SYSTEMS SETTINGS > SYSTEM INFORMATION > SYSTEM SOFTWARE.

The SYSTEM SOFTWARE option should show you your PSP's firmware version number.

STEP TWO

To get your wallpaper image from PC onto PSP, connect your PSP games console to your computer using a USB cable. In 'My Computer' your PSP is the G: drive.

Once you have the wall paper on your PSP, go to you PSP main menu, select the image and choose to "Set As Wallpaper".

A lot of people got new PSPs today but many of them do not know how to put movies on PSP. I’m not a PSP expert but I’ve spend some time researching how to put movies on psp. I will explain how in this short article.

The first thing you need to know is the PSP can only play MP4 video files. So if you download or rip any other file formats such as AVI, MOV or DIVX etc, you need a software to convert these files to MP4.

I use Imtoo PSP video converter but you could use other psp video software converters as well.

Most psp video converters will allows conversion to MP4. You might also want to make the setting are as followed

Video size: either 368x206 or 320x240 due to screen resolution of PSP

Video Bit rate : 384, 512, 768 Kbps

Frame rate : at least 29 frames per second

Audio Sample Rate : 24 Khz

Audio bit rate : 64, 96, 128 160 Kbps

These settings will ensure the converted movie file can play smoothly on your PSP.

Once you have done that, the next step is to put the converted movie on your PSP.

You need to connect your PSP to your computer via the PSP data transfer cable.

If you are using the Imtool PSP video converter, click on tools and then psp video manager.

Then click on browse to select the mp4 files you want to copy and click on move to transfer it to your PSP. That’s it. It’s that simple.

I’ve not used other PSP video converter software but they should work in the same way. As you can see, it’s not that difficult to put movies on PSP.

So you want to download your mp3 to your PSP and don't know how to, eh?

I'm going to explain how easy it is to transfer your favourite music to your PSP. All you need is a decent CD Ripper and a PSP Video Converter as well.
Ready? Ok, let's start.

First, install the CD Ripper application on your computer. This will allow you to rip (rip=pull) music from your music CD’s directly into your computer. In the fly!

Then install the PSP Video Converter so you can rip and convert all kind of video files to the PSP format, including those musical videos clips that you love, see?

To convert music files from CD to PSP format in the fly, just insert your CD, start the CD Ripper application, select the song (or songs) that you want to transfer and choose the "extract and encode to PSP" option.
If the music files are already in your computer - your mp3 collections, let's say - all you have to do is browse for them in CD Ripper or PSP Video Converter and click on the "add" button. Remember to always choose the PSP format.

Now that all your mp3 or video files are properly converted to the PSP format you are ready to download your favourite music to PSP. Use a USB cable to connect your PSP to your PC, wait for the plug-and-play recognition and then browse for it.

Finally, just copy the converted mp3 files into the PSP drive and you're done! It's really simple, as I told you, to put music on the PSP console.
